On March 19th, for the Feast of Saint Joseph, Archbishop Joseph Naumann came to help us break ground next to the monastery of the little brothers. Since then, construction has been underway for the Saint Joseph House, a guest house in which we will have the joy of welcoming the Emeritus Archbishop as our first long term guest!

Construction of the Saint Joseph House
Dear Friends,
Having turned 75 this past June, I am frequently asked: “Where are you going to live, once Pope Francis accepts your resignation and appoints your successor?” After praying about this decision for some time, I shared with the Little Sisters and Little Brothers of the Lamb, my hope to live in the “Village of the Lamb” in Kansas City, Kansas.
Gratefully, the Little Sisters and Brothers were open and excited about this possibility. I cannot imagine a better environment to deepen my own life of prayer and strengthen my Faith in the Lamb’s Victory of Life. Please pray that Our Lord, His Mother and St. Joseph will bless this effort. May Jesus, Mary and Joseph bless you and your family.
Gratefully yours in Jesus, the Lord of Life,
Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann
Liturgy
Everyday, in the chapel of our little monastery, we celebrate among brothers the monastic offices. As for the daily celebration of the Eucharist, we join our little sisters in their chapel just a block up the road at 36 S. Boeke St. All who wish to pray with us are welcome! For dates and times, you may consult our Mass & Adoration Schedule or check Masstimes.
Those seeking a uniquely beautiful and more extended experience of liturgical prayer are invited to join the Community for one of our nighttime prayer vigils , which take place on the eve of each solemnity, before every Sunday of Advent or Lent, and for a handful of other liturgical feasts throughout the year. For more information do not hesitate to ask.

Mission
“When you go to beg your daily bread in the neighborhood and knock on doors, to the world you seem to bring nothing to those homes. In reality you are bringing the love of Christ, the hope of Christ, the joy of Christ to those that you visit, inspiring in them, invoking in them a realization of God’s presence.” Archbishop Joseph Naumann
Open Table
Once a month the Community invites all who wish, to join us at the Little Brothers’ monastery for a family style lunch, which we call “Open Table”. It typically takes place at 11:30, on the third Saturday of the month, but please call one of the little monasteries to confirm the date which may change at times.

A Place of Grace
Next to our little monastery is a haven of peace, where Christmas is an eternal reality! This grotto, with its icon of Christ’s Nativity, has been blessed to accomplish miracles! You may always come there to pray, to find rest for your souls, and to remain under the gaze of our Mother, she who ceaselessly offers us Jesus her son. There, we can bring to prayer all those in need of intercession, all those we hold dear, entrusting them to her maternal heart.
